Golden Age Olympics

This year marks the 30th anniversary for the Golden Age Olympics. The games are a McAllen hallmark for athletes over the age of 50 and over. The games tarted in 1983 with just 3 events, now there are over 30 in a number of categories including athletics, recreation and card games. The event is typically held in March and in venues throughout the city.
