This performance is part of Navy Week, a national outreach initiative that connects communities with the men and women of the U.S. Navy while highlighting the Navy’s mission, service, and impact. While Navy Week has traveled across the country for more than 20 years, this event represents a historic milestone—not only as the first Navy Week hosted at South Texas College, but also the first-ever Navy Week event in the Rio Grande Valley.

The Cooper Center for Performing Arts was chosen as the venue in honor of U.S. Navy Ensign Edward P. Cooper, an Edinburg native whose legacy of service and sacrifice continues to be celebrated at South Texas College.
