High on thick cement stilts lies what most people describe as an intimidatingly beautiful building. Once inside, your eyes will widen in awe of the interior’s exquisiteness, unique features and the talented and passionate team that treats you like family.

“The whole idea of Europa is to be an experience. We have an advantage over 99.9% of the restaurants out there. What does everyone else have? You come in, you have a dining experience and then you leave. Here, you can have a bar experience, a dining experience, private party and an arcade and bowling,” Europa’s Executive Chef, Chris Dickens, said.

Complete with a bowling alley, game room, two motion simulators, wine room, outdoor patio, dining area and a 3-D ceiling, Europa is also making strides using fresh and local produce for their cuisine!

Fresh Food Straight to Your Table

“It comes down to quality. One of the great things we were able to focus on was really getting out there in the community. The first week I was here, we made the RGV Farmers Alliance. Just yesterday (Thursday, February 16th), we had four or five of the farmers delivering fresh products. It’s specifically for Europa,” he continued.

With a wide combination of flavors and foods, Europa caters to several food tastes, including Vegan options.

Originally from Alabama, Dickens has gained culinary experience from working in New York to Seattle and even on The Food Network when it first launched. With formal training from the Culinary Institute of America and Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, this Certified Executive Chef isn’t new to recognition. His quality cuisine brought him recognition though his favorite type of food when he and his wife’s barbeque concept was named one of “The Best Barbeque Restaurants in America““ in 2015.

A Strong Team Creates a Strong Foundation

Europa’s General Manager, Jason Kien, added, “When I took charge, I really wanted to emphasize the fact that I have a very talented chef who is very humble. We met for the first time here. My concern was, “I have a chef who is coming from Alabama and you have to be fairly bilingual to run your kitchens.” But his personality is so great and we have some great sous chefs from Mexico, so it worked out perfectly.”

With a strong military background, Kien first led a team in the field but is now running a staff of 97 at Europa. Running different restaurant concepts, Kien knows that the key to success is emphasizing an amazing atmosphere catering to different events and occasions.

“Our whole goal is to educate a team that knows hospitality and make them as passionate as we are. It really is about engaging with the guests,” Kien said.

Perfect for Every Occasion

Since opening, Europa has hosted a number of guests, from business meetings with whole presentations using projectors to special occasions like Quinceañeras. They have rooms that cater from 10 to 150 people.

Their lunch menu contains a variety of dishes under $10 for every palate and is available from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Happy Hour is all week from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and includes $2 margaritas, $3 domestic drafts, $4 house wines, $5 boneless wings and appetizers, and their bowling and game simulators are only $6 for 45 minutes.
