On every first Friday from September through May, the streets of McAllen will come alive with music, local crafters and beautiful works of art at the McAllen Art Walk and Music After Hours-Craft Fair. On Main St. from Beech to Pecan, the Art Walk will once again bring visitors and residents to admire creativity and passion. Music After Hours will be located at the Food Park at 10th St. and Broadway while the Craft Fair will be located on Ash Ave. between the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and Food Park.
McAllen Art Walk
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
McAllen’s Art Walk is a free, self-guided tour through art studios, museums and galleries located on Main St. from Beech to Pecan Ave. It promotes the appreciation of fine art and the city’s creative talent. Through Art Walk, McAllen paves the way for artists to express their passion while increasing interest in their craft.
The McAllen Creative Incubator will also come alive with the vibrant, passionate culture of its tenants and invited guests. During Art Walk, tenants practice the “open door” policy where guests can enter their studios. Artists without tangible fine art will be in their studios to greet people and talk about their services. The Incubator also supports Valley art partners wanting to participate with us during the event. During this occasion, the McAllen Creative Incubator will collaborate with IMAS and Palm View Library to offer activities for kids.
This September, enjoy exhibits by MATICES, The Valley Land Fund, Ruth Hoyt and music by Viol Consort during this free, family-friendly event. All “Fine Art” on display at the McAllen Creative Incubator will be available for sale.
The McAllen Chamber of Commerce’s Creative Incubator is located at 601 N. Main St.
