Take Advantage of Lap Swimming
Lap swimming is available for adults 18 and older and is designed to encourage fitness in a safe, controlled environment. Sessions are offered in 45-minute increments, allowing staff to clean and disinfect between groups. Here’s what you should know before diving in:
- Lap passes are available for $10.00 to help minimize cash exchange.
- Single-session entry is $1.00 per person for a 45-minute swim.
- Swimmers begin at the top of each hour and exit after their time is complete.
- Participants must check in upon arrival and come water-ready.
- Pool equipment such as kick boards or water weights will not be provided, but guests may bring their own.

The McAllen Municipal Pool offers a flexible schedule tailored to accommodate busy lifestyles. From early mornings to midday sessions, there are numerous opportunities to fit in a workout.

- Tuesday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Follow the Pool Guidelines
To keep the experience enjoyable experience for everyone, swimmers are asked to follow the pool guidelines. Restrooms will be available, but participants should arrive ready to swim. Everyone must check in, and staff will clear the pool between groups to ensure proper disinfection.
