Museum of South Texas History

The Museum of South Texas History features prehistoric plants, fossils and exhibits about early European colonization. Visit the steamboat replica and the Museum store!
The Museum also features a permanent exhibit called the Rio Grande Legacy, which features state of the art displays about the origins of the area, ancient animals and plants and about the native people.
The county’s 100-year-old jail has been incorporated into the museum.
