Friday, April 5^th

• The 3B’s: Beatles, Brahms, and Beethoven – VSO Concert V will be held on this Friday at 8:00 PM at the McAllen Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available for purchase at the McAllen Convention Center Box Office from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

Saturday, April 6^th

• Indulge in some craft beer paired with local cuisine at A Night at the Brew-seum presented by IMAS. This much-anticipated evening will take place at the IMAS from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM with VIP early access at 6:00 PM.
• Have a swim at the McAllen Municipal Pool as part of Community Days! The event starts at 1:15 PM until 6:00 PM with free entry. Pool rules apply and a swimsuit is required to enter the water.

• Enjoy a magical night of activities, food, and dancing with your daughter at the annual Daddy & Daughter Dance: Under the Sea at Lark Community Center! Daughters must be aged four years and up. The entrance fee is $45 per daddy and daughter pair with $5 per additional daughter. Register online at mcallen.net and search activity code 181300. Sunday, April 7^th

• Find everything you’ll need for your special day at the RGV Wedding & Quince Expo! Showtime is from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the McAllen Convention Center with a $10.00 admission fee.

• Look forward to a Farmers’ Market at Tres Lagos on the first Sunday of every month from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. This pet-friendly venue offers seasonal fruits, vegetables, and live music!
• The Palms Awards returns to the McAllen Performing Arts Center to foster the love of local art by awarding recognition to the high school theater community in Hidalgo County. This event will be held from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and tickets are available through Ticketmaster or at the box office.

• Enjoy a live performance of the Roaring 20’s: A Gatsby Gala Presented by McAllen Wind Ensemble at the McAllen Performing Arts Center. The show starts at 7:30 PM. Tickets start at just $10 and will be available for purchase at the Performing Arts box office or through Ticketmaster.

Saturday, March 30^th

• Have some laughs with comedian Jo Jo Jorge Falcon! He’ll be performing at the McAllen Performing Arts Center from 8:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Admission charges will be between $40 and $95 plus fees and tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
• Participate in Coffee on the Run 5k and One Mile Donut Dash at Town Lake at Firemen’s Park. This event supports our brave men and women who serve our community as first responders, police officers, and firefighters! It starts at 7:00 AM with a $25 fee per runner.

Sunday, March 31^st

• Come see the La Feria de STC: Folklórico & Contemporary Dance Competition at the McAllen Convention Center at 8:00 AM. General admission tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00.
• Join IMAS in a fun art class to create folk art and learn the skill of metal tooling! This art class starts at 1:00 PM with a workshop admission fee of $15. There will be a discount available for IMAS Members.

March 22^nd

• Head over to the Home & Garden Show at the McAllen Convention Center happening throughout the weekend. Find everything for your home & garden in one place! There will be show only discounts available and fun activities for the whole family. Starting at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a $7 admission fee.
• Enjoy a live performance from IL Divo at the McAllen Performing Arts Center starting at 8:30 PM. Purchase your tickets online throughTicketmaster.
• Come join Food Park Unplugged, located at 10 N Broadway, with music performance by Just The 2 Of Us from 8:00 PM until 10:00 PM! Choose from 12 different food trucks all with a variety of delicious food, and arts & craft vendors.

March 23^rd

• Register your child for the Tiny 2K Glow Run (Superhero Theme) happening at Las Palmas Community Center. Toddlers will enjoy glow sticks, music, games, and raffle prizes starting at 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. All participants are encouraged to wear their favorite superhero t-shirt or costume!
• Celebrate World Water Day 2019 at IMAS from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Discover the importance of water and water conservation in our community!

March 24^th

• Meet vendors in the wedding/event industry while attending The Bridal Show at the Radisson Hotel – McAllen Airport starting at 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Tour the hotel and the Blue Bonnet Ballroom during the show. This event is free to the public.

• The Price is Right Live is coming to the McAllen Performing Arts Center! It’s an interactive stage show that gives folks the chance to play classic games from television’s longest-running game show! The show starts at 8:00 PM with an admission fee ranging between $45.00 and $70.00.

• Visit Quinta Mazatlán to celebrate Monarch Fest! Listen to live music, enjoy arts and crafts, receive a garden tour, shop at the monarch marketplace, and enjoy the bug parade!

Sunday, March 17^th

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at these local spots:

• The Quarter New Orleans Kitchen & Tap will be hosting a Patrick’s Day Celebration!
• Bourbon St. Grill is throwing their Paddy’s Day Bash starting at 12:00 PM until 2:00 AM.
• Join Suerte Bar & Grill’s St Patty’s Day Block Party! Come in your best green attire and enjoy some green tacos and tequila!

• While the kids are away, the adults can play and enjoy Tacos N’ Tequila at the Chamber of Commerce! Register to taste food from the area’s top 10 local restaurants and sip on craft cocktails. The event and live music will last from 6:30 PM until 10:30 PM.

Saturday, March 9^th

• Don’t miss out on a special performance from Mike Salazar! Listen to the “Cowboy of Comedy” joke about life and love at the McAllen Performing Arts Center. This Spanish comedy show is scheduled for 9:30 PM.
• Join Quinta Mazatlán for Gardening for Life. Learn to cultivate your backyard to meet interesting insects! This event will last from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM.

• Sample BBQ at Sizzling in the Tropics Cook-Off at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce. Flavor delicious meats from 30 local BBQ teams and enjoy a classic car show! The event will be held from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

Sunday, March 10^th

• Don’t miss the last day of the Saxet Gun Show to see the latest in outdoor gear and classic firearms! This event will be on March 9^th and 10^th from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
• Make time for Spring Break at the Lake! Join your family for boating, fishing, or kayaking at Fireman’s Lake. This event lasts all week long from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Hooray for Hollywood

• Starting at 8:00 PM, you can listen to the Valley Symphony Orchestra play soundtracks from the Big Hollywood Era.
• Dress up and give a hooray for Hollywood at the McAllen Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office.

McAllen Art Walk

• Only three more McAllen Art Walks are planned before summer begins! Head out to the Art District for live music, the food park, and shopping at local vendors.
• Places that participate include the McAllen Creative Incubator, the Old Wine House, and Stained Glass McAllen.

Saturday, March 2^nd

Arbor Day

• Celebrate Arbor Day at the McAllen Municipal Park! Enjoy live music, timed 5K or 10K runs, a Kids 1-Mile Run, or the Educational Tree Workshop.
• There will be medals, t-shirts, and free trees (until supplies last)! Register online to run from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Angela Aguilar

Wedding & Quinceañera Fair

Don’t miss out on the upcoming Wedding & Quinceañera Fair where you can see layouts from many amazing vendors. This event is from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM and costs $14 to enter at the McAllen Convention Center.

Tres Lagos Farmers Market

• Get your grub on with local eateries and crafts at the Tres Lagos Farmer’s Market. Get your taste of fresh produce and homemade sweet treats. This event is open from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

• Enjoy local shopping at the Farmers Market and McAllen Public Library Book Sale! This event sells CDs, DVDs, and books of all genres for as low as 25 cents! It’ll be held from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
• Watch “A Oscuras Me Da Risa“ at the McAllen Performing Arts Center! Enjoy the hilarious conflict these impressive characters get into from start to finish. The show starts at 8:00 PM. You can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster.

Friday, February 24^th

• Learn about the principles behind engineering with hands-on activities at IMAS Engineer Days! Visit IMAS all weekend starting on Friday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The entry fee is the same as regular admission.

• Enjoy your Sunday at Yerberia Cultura’s movie watch! Enjoy the film Before Sunrise (1995) with food and beer! This event starts on Sunday at 7:00 PM.
